moving trays

Nashville Dental Studio is a proud Invisalign provider!
Invisalign is a way to comfortably and discretely correct spacing and malalignment in your teeth with clear aligners. Invisalign is considered orthodontic treatment. With Invisalign we start by scanning your teeth and reviewing the scans to see what the correction will look like for you. It is recommended that you complete a full oral evaluation before beginning orthodontic treatment to evaluate your dental and periodontal health before we begin moving your teeth. This helps confirm that the orthodontic treatment will be beneficial to you and not harmful.
At the beginning of Invisalign treatment, attachments are usually placed on your teeth to help the clear trays move your teeth more efficiently. These are not harmful to the teeth and will be removed when treatment is done. The timeline for Invisalign completion is anywhere from 6 months to 2 years.
The trays or clear aligners are given to you to switch out every two weeks and must be worn the majority of the day. Progress is monitored closely with in-office visits during your treatment time.
At the end of treatment, retention, or retainers, is very important. We will recommend and discuss with you the best long-term option for you. Invisalign is a great option to consider if you are unhappy with the alignment of your teeth

We use the Zoom in office whitening system. This utilizes a peroxide-based gel, enhanced with a light, to accelerate the breakdown of intrinsic and extrinsic stains. The procedure comes with take home whitening trays that will allow you to maintain your bright shade for years to come.
This is a safe, quick, and comfortable option to brighten your smile.

Home Whitening Solutions

One of our favorite ways to whiten your teeth! This starts by fabricating trays that fits your teeth. We then send you home with whitening gel that you use at your own convenience. When you first start using your trays, we direct you to use them daily for 30-60 minutes for 2 weeks. After the first two weeks, you can move into the maintenance phase and use the trays 1-2 times a month to maintain your bright white smile. The gel used in the trays is safe to use and peroxide based. These trays are comfortable and clear, allowing you to wear them in daytime hours if you find that is the best time to whiten for you. Having whitening trays in your arsenal at home is a must have and very affordable! Ask us today how to get yours!

Dental Veneers are typically made of porcelain and serve an important role in cosmetic dentistry. They are a thin shell of naturally colored porcelain that is bonded to the front or cheek surface of the tooth. Veneers change the shape, color, size, and length of a tooth. You will go through a detailed design process to enhance your smile with dental veneers. We want to make sure that the veneers are not only a cosmetic enhancement but one that you are able to function with for years to come. Dental veneers look natural when planned correctly and when using a state-of-the-art dental lab. I

Cosmetic Bonding

Cosmetic Bonding is a tool that is occasionally utilized. Bonding means “using dental resin or composite in an additive way to enhance the size, shape, color, and length of a tooth”.

Bonding is added to a tooth that may have a defect that is not large enough to need a crown or veneer to restore. Bonding is also sometimes used as preparation for a more definitive crown or veneer. This step allows us to try out your bite and chewing pattern with the addition of material. We sometimes bond to a tooth to close a space in between your teeth. We may use bonding instead of a lab fabricated veneer or crown due to time constraints. We can use bonding instead of a lab fabricated restoration due to financial limitations.

With the right artistic touch, dental bonding with resin can be beautifully done and last a very long time! It may have it’s limitations, but it will always have a place in clinical dentistry.
